TRINITY BEACH ATTRACTIONS
Whilst it would be tempting to do nothing but relax in the comfortable surrounds at Amaroo at Trinity, the sight from your room of a distant Green Island and the dramatic mountain backdrop is a reminder that this is Tropical North Queensland - where the rainforest meets the reef.
Only a short distance from Cairns CBD, Trinity Beach provides an excellent opportunity to explore the pristine wonders of the Great Barrier Reef and the World Heritage Listed Rainforest with a vast array of touring experiences to the region's highlights. Listed below are just some of the many experiences we recommend.
The Great Barrier Reef
The number 1 thing to see and do while in our beautiful region is The Great Barrier Reef. It is one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World and quite simply an amazing experience that you will never forget. There are many companies that do trips out to the Great Barrier Reef, a few of our favourites are Ocean Freedom, Reef Magic, Big Cat Green Island Cruises and Quicksilver.
The village of Kuranda is nestled in the rainforest in the mountains behind Cairns and is the gateway to explore the Atherton Tablelands. A fantastic way to access Kuranda is by Skyrail and the Kuranda Scenic Railway. A popular tour is to travel up the mountain side past waterfalls on the Kuranda Scenic Railway, spend a few hours exploring the attractions, including the Butterfly Sanctuary, and then back down on Skyrail Rainforest cableway over the top of the rainforest canopy. We have several tour options available for Kuranda and loads of information on the Atherton tableland at the Tour Desk.
Billy Tea Bush Safaris
