PALM COVE HOLIDAY ACCOMMODATION

Tropical North Queensland is the embodiment of “diversity within proximity”. Cairns is an excellent base of operations for the tourist who wishes to experience this diversity. The North Beaches of Cairns are an easy 15-minute drive from the airport and most points downtown, so a day trip (or even a couple of hours’ trip) is no trouble at all. But there is plenty of accommodation at the beaches themselves.

This beach is particularly convenient, if you’d like to make the primary focus of your vacation relaxing at the beach or exploring the Great Barrier Reef. This way, you could engage in any of the activities that are available at Palm Cove, lounge at the Palm Cove Beach, and go hiking in the jungle, all in the same day, with little to no travel time involved!

For obvious reasons, we suggest if you can fit into Amaroo at Trinity that you stay in Trinity Beach ahead of anywhere on the Cairns Northern Beaches, but admittedly we are biased. We believe however, we have yet to find a property that offers such spectacular scenery and facilities at such an affordable tariff.

If you can't fit into Amaroo at Trinity for your holiday, then a nice alternative might be to lodge at Palm Cove and book a room at one of its many resorts. These are 5-star suites, with air-conditioning, pools, tennis courts, (some with) golf courses, and pretty much whatever else you could want or imagine!
Holiday apartments are available, and come equipped with laundry facilities, kitchens, air-conditioning, balconies, pools, and airport transfer. These usually have the option of 1-to-3 bedrooms, and beachfront accessibility. This is a great option for a family vacation, especially for the family that wishes to control costs. The price range of apartments is substantial: there are discount rates available, and there are luxury apartments available, complete with spas.

Of course, there are plenty of 4- and 5-star hotels, of the "standard variety". Prices for these start around $120 (USD) per night.

Backpacker hostels are also available in Palm Cove, and are the least expensive option of them all. Prices range in the $10-15 range per night, and often include a meal. The shared accommodation scheme is employed here, as elsewhere.

Palm Cove has the widest range of accommodation options of all the North Beaches of Cairns, so you should be able to find the exact fit for your vacation!
