Listed below are just some of the many experiences we recommend.

The Great Barrier Reef

The number 1 thing to see and do while in our beautiful region is The Great Barrier Reef. It is one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World and quite simply an amazing experience that you will never forget. There are many companies that do trips out to the Great Barrier Reef, a few of our favourites are Ocean Freedom, Reef Magic, Great Adventures, Big Cat Green Island Cruises, Ocean Free and Ocean Freedom,  and Quicksilver.

Skyrail and Kuranda

The village of Kuranda is nestled in the rainforest in the mountains overlooking Cairns, and is the gateway to explore the Atherton Tablelands. A fantastic way to access Kuranda is by Skyrail and the Kuranda Scenic Railway. The most popular tour is to travel up the mountain side past waterfalls on the Kuranda Scenic Railway, spend a few hours exploring the attractions, including the Butterfly Sanctuary, and then back down on Skyrail Rainforest cableway over the top of the rainforest canopy. We have several tour options available for Kuranda and loads of information on the Atherton tableland at the Tour Desk.

Cape Tribulation

Uncover the Far North through Billy Tea Safaris

Billy Tea Safaris has been operating for the past 34 years and is the longest running 4WD tour operator in existence.

Your environmentalist guide will meet you and after introductions all round we drive north along the scenic route to Mossman. Lush farmland contrasts with  the brilliant seascape drive as we approach the majestic Daintree River and on to Cape Tribulation.

What else can you ask for? It is true that ultimate relaxation can be achieved by just lounging at the balcony of your Amaroo at Trinity apartment while admiring the panoramic view of the great Coral Sea.

But have you realized that a holiday is not just about lounging at your balcony? Or sunbathing? Or staring at the beautiful blue waters however satisfying it could be? (Although I could actually spend the rest of my holiday doing just that and be completely satisfied with it.)
